“Marry the cad or drink the arsenic?” — classic folksong – “The Sewing Machine”

A timeless tale of a rich man and a poor servant/cook fighting for the heart and mind of a seamstress. At least we think it is. When we recorded the song with “the last folksinger of Frog Hollow,” he got off-track…and somehow the middle of the song is about extracting salt from dirt…can that be right?
