Theatre For Young Audiences
National Playwriting Competition
$1000 Award
The University of Central Missouri Department of Theatre and Dance is embarking on its fifteenth year of soliciting scripts for its National Playwriting Competition; which encourages the writings of original works for children’s theatre productions.
1st Prize
Winner receives a $1000 cash award and World-Premiere production in the University of Central Missouri Department of Theatre’s mainstage season. The production will receive six performances to potentially 2000 children and general audience members.
The production will be entered as an associate or participating entry in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
